Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of ShieldScore, including the public website, dashboard, APIs, and related services. By using ShieldScore, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself or the organization you represent.

Service Access

You may use ShieldScore only in compliance with applicable law and these Terms. You are responsible for safeguarding account credentials, maintaining accurate workspace information, and ensuring that each user is authorized to access your organization’s compliance data.

Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing

Paid plans are billed on a recurring annual basis unless otherwise agreed in writing. ShieldScore may offer a fourteen-day free trial for eligible customers. Trials convert to paid subscriptions only after the customer completes the applicable billing flow. Taxes are your responsibility unless already included.

Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated in a separate order form. You may manage or cancel an active subscription through the available billing management flow, and cancellation applies at the end of the current paid period unless otherwise specified.

Customer Data

You retain ownership of customer data submitted to ShieldScore. You grant us a limited right to host, process, transmit, back up, and otherwise use customer data solely to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.

Acceptable Use

You may not use ShieldScore to violate law, interfere with service operation, bypass security controls, upload malicious content, reverse engineer the platform except where prohibited by law, or access data belonging to another customer without authorization.

Intellectual Property

ShieldScore and its underlying software, designs, content, and documentation are owned by ShieldScore or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited access rights granted under these Terms, no other rights are transferred to you.

Warranty Disclaimer

ShieldScore is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. ShieldScore supports compliance workflows but does not guarantee a successful certification, audit opinion, or legal outcome.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShieldScore will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, goodwill, or data. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount paid by you for ShieldScore during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create security risk, fail to pay applicable fees, or use the service unlawfully. You may stop using ShieldScore at any time, subject to any subscription commitments already in effect.
